[SOLVED] X blackscreen after boot on laptop with nvidia-lts drivers

Hello Arch Community,
i need help from someone, that already goes trough this Laptop/Nvidia driver headace.

I installed fresh on my Tuxedo Gemini 17 Gen 2. (OS: Arch Linux x86_64 linux 6.6.72-1-lts GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Max-Q / Mobile CPU: 13th Gen Intel i9-13900HX) following these steps: https://wiki.archlinux.de/title/Kategor … pickzettel (EFI, crypted-LVM).

I choosed Xorg, i3 and lightdm-gtk-greeter and boot.

Volume encryption works fine but at some laptop starts it mix up the NVMe order and "wait" for the root directory disk. Even the Hibernation works well.

If the encryption is succesfull, systemd goes on and start Xorg, but there follows a blackscreen (A static underscore is showing and the display is on).
I can log into tty2 and the system is running, but Xorg have problems to work properly.

Meanwhile, if i disable the NVIDIA card in the bios, i cant even start the Graphical Interface.
#startx. #xinit, #Xorg throwing out "Fatal server error" and #i3 just says "i3: Cannot open display"
Maybe beacause of the Kernel parameter "rcutree.gp_init_delay=1".

With activated dedicated gpu Xorg runs after boot, but "Cannot open display" stays.

I would be really happy, if someone helps me further in this situation, because i got badly stuck and dont find a solution on running this setup with working nvidia-lts driver.

Edit01: I did a "#ln -sf ../run/systemd/resolve/stub-resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf", installed yay and get the proper Tuxedo-driver with yay -S tuxedo-control-center-bin tuxedo-drivers-dkms (linux-lts-headers are already installed).
Even that did not help me any further, although they loaded properly according to #lsmod | grep tuxedo.

Edit02: I even put "(nvidia)" in the MODULES in the /etc/mkinitcpio.conf, reinstalled the nvidia-utils and nvidia-lts packages and run #sudo modprobe nvidia.
Nothing worked so far hmm

I checked the parameter with #cat /sys/module/nvidia_drm/parameters/modeset
and without changing anything, the output was already a "Y".

I dont know how i get more Information out of Xorg.
If i only knew what exacly was wrong, i would be able to find a solution.

But when all is running "fine" but dont work its impossible for me to find a solution.
Any tipps for further analysation?

Thanks again @Zod for your answer!

It kinda lead me to the answer to this porblem.

The solution for this problem was the "Dynamic" option in the BIOS for choosing the graphics card.
This causing trouble for X to display properly.

I did some other things like installing bumblebee and stuff i found online and switching to "Only use dedicated graphics card" in the advanced options in the BIOS and got right to the gtk-greeter.

I dont know exacly what solved it, so i installed the base system again like i did back then and did the DRM kernel mode setting + adding "nvidia_drm.modeset=1 nvidia_drm.fbdev=1" to the systemd-boot entry options.

Changing the option in the BIOS and voilà, this solved the blackscreen.
