Hi there, unfortunately after a lot of tinkering with wireplumber, and bluez config files I am still unable to use LDAC on my Sony WH-1000XM5s. The AAC is very unsatisfactory due to the absence of microphone use on it, so you can receive input on headset, but not talk into the mic.

What did you try exactly? And what do you want to achieve?
For me, it uses LDAC when the microphone is off, and another two-way codec if it's in use. I don't think it's possible to use the microphone and headphones st the same time with the highest quality.

I have tried reconfiguring wireplumber's config, but the effect doesn't seem to come. If LDAC doesn't support bidirectional signal, that's fine, but how can I still turn it on? My goal is to be able to listen to highest quality sound when not on a call. What would also be the best profile/codec to use for when being on a call?

Could also be your adapter not supporting LDAC, what are you using here/how old is your system? FWIW what's your output for
pactl list cards
sudo journalctl -b -u bluetooth
