Hello
When I connect my iPhone 13 Mini to my computer running Arch Linux (on KDE Plasma), the downloading speed for Steam is sub optimal and unstable, ranging from 500KB/s to 1MB/s, when my real internet speed is around 2MB/s, although this is a Steam exclusive issue.
So to fix this issue, I had the idea to use a cable to connect to my phone's hotspot instead of WiFi.
I followed the guide here, which says to install libimobiledevice and usbmuxd. I do this, plug in my iPhone again, and in the top right it shows that a "Camera" has been plugged in, however, clicking open in file manager only opens my home folder. Several seconds later, my phone shows a "Trust this computer?" pop-up, I select trust and put in my password, but even after this my phone does not appear in the network list.
I then try running "idevicepair pair", which shows "No device found."
Running "networkctl list" shows the following output:
IDX LINK TYPE OPERATIONAL SETUP
1 lo loopback carrier unmanaged
2 eno1 ether no-carrier unmanaged
3 wlan0 wlan routable unmanaged
7 enp0s20f0u8c4i2 ether no-carrier unmanaged
4 links listed.
From what I've read, I assume that the "enp0s20f0u8c4i2" device is my phone, and "no-carrier" means that the connection to my computer is somehow interrupted.
I also tried the steps here, which did not fix anything.
I'm quite new to Arch Linux, so any help is appreciated. I can provide any information that's needed to help troubleshoot.
Thanks in advance

Ok, so it seems like it's quite inconsistent. I unplugged and plugged it back in again and got it to work, but then after re plugging it a second time, it no longer works.
It's also not a cable issue. I've tried with multiple.

loose / failing USB port?
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

This is not the issue. I tried with multiple. It seems to have got consistently better, from not working to working sometimes to now being completely functional. It did this on its own. Very strange.
