burning problem

Hi everybody!

I wonder if somebody can help me on this one. Since I upgraded the cdrkit software and the kernel26beyond package lately I'm no longer able to burn anything. No DVDs, no CDs. I used the command line and also K3B to check it, but both times it didn't burn. Strangely enough I was able to erase disks but when it comes to burn data on it, the system tells me that it would be an unsupported medium.
Well, I use to burn some CD-RWs lately and the same ones worked before the update but now it also tells me, that it would be an unsupported medium.
I'm sure that my burner is OK because he doesn't refuse to work under Windows (I have a duel boot system on my computer).

So can anybody help me with this?
Maybe I should mention that I'm using the 64bit version of arch, but I doubt that this makes a difference.

Thanks!
