I've attempted to do my usual system upgrade with
pacman -Syu
and ran into a file conflict:
(9/9) checking for file conflicts [####################################################################] 100%
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
lib32-sqlite: /usr/share/man/man1/sqlite3.1.gz exists in filesystem (owned by sqlite)
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
Any advice?

Please post your output of
pacman -Qm

No need, it was a bug that's already been fixed.

Hi,
I'm having a similar issue on my system:
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
/usr/share/man/man1/sqlite3.1.gz exists in both 'sqlite' and 'lib32-sqlite'
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
-> Failed to install layer, rolling up to next layer.error:error installing repo packages
Doesn't seem to be fixed?

Works fine here, you're trying to update to what version? you should be getting lib32-sqlite-3.48.0-2-x86_64 if it's not then your mirrors are outdated and you should switch that to one that's more up to date.

same problem
changed mirrors to the US, otherwise had the same issue

EDIT:
didn't see this was solved before posting, since I have the same issue, starting a new thread.
I still can't upgrade, getting the same error as OP.
I updated my mirrorlist to only US mirrors and then:
$ sudo pacman -S lib32-sqlite
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...
Packages (1) lib32-sqlite-3.48.0-1
Total Installed Size: 1.44 MiB
Net Upgrade Size: 0.01 MiB
:: Proceed with installation? [Y/n]
sqlite is still showing the wrong version for update.
any suggestions?

See post #5. "only US mirrors" means nothing.
