Re: Window corruption on Gnome (X11, likely triggered by Steam)

I had problems with locale switching on GNOME in the last 7 days. I have tried generating `pt_BR.UTF-8` locale, uncommented /etc/locale.gen, switching by terminal using sudo localectl set-locale LANG=pt_BR.UTF-8...

I have also switched to fallback kernel (maybe it is kernel update, idk...).

Nothing worked, my workaround was installing xcfe4 and using this environment, group switching is not messy now.

I don't know if giving this information will help.

Re: Window corruption on Gnome (X11, likely triggered by Steam)

Ok I double checked, and this is interesting but slightly confusing. The "ibus" package isn't required by anything, but 'libibus' is hard required by gnome stuff. So I take it I can still remove it.

You commenting on the wrong thread? You may want to make your own new one otherwise.

Please avoifd bloating the thread w/ pointless full quotes.
What was the nature of the "problems with locale switching"?
Keyboard or output and just doesn't work and you stick with english or errors like the last one in #21?

@cubethethird, so try the environment variables.
Also, are you using multiple keyboard layouts?

I'm only using English and French, but I'll try a few things out.
