So around 3-4 months ago I started having a weird issue where some games like CS2, Persona 3 Reload and Dead by Daylight froze when being focused, the game ran while another windows was in focus but as soon as i put the game into focus it just showed the last frame that was there when i was tabbed out.
The game itself ran most of the time, since the music was still running and i heard my mouse selecting and deselecting menu options when hovering over them but for some reason sometimes the game and steam closed with a message from KDE that my desktop effects had been restarted due to a crash.
I didnt have much time at the moment to ask here for a full fix so i had a few temp work arounds until i had time. Those were:
*Disable adaptive Sync (didnt work always for all games)
*Switch to the LTS kernel
*Switch to Xorg
*Use Gamescope
Reinstalling the system didnt help
While on my laptop screen most games worked after switching to lts it didnt fix the issue when plugging my laptop into the TV via HDMI, using gamescope worked most of the time.
But for some reason the issues started becoming more and more.
I have the weird feeling it has todo with my gpu but i cant pinpoint what the issue is exactly. I have no clue what logs where and what so i dont know what logs to attach, please just ask and ill provide them asap.
Sometimes when shutting down my pc after a long play session I see many gpu errors in the shutdown screen, I dont know how to replicate it and it doesnt always happen so i cant give the exact error but i remember something about "DRM".
