[SOLVED] Add your own picture to Dectop shortcut (xfce4)
Added shortcut of portable app to desktop (because adding it to app menu of "xfce4-pannel" is a separate quest) - how to change picture on this shortcut?
Tried so search Wiki - for nothing.

Right-click the launcher, click edit launcher, click the icon and then change icon image. Click OK to complete.

Well it is difficult to mistake desktop shortcut with something else as it WAS SENT ON DESKTOP through right clik menu.

actually - no - I was wrong - this is not Wayland - it is X11 seems to be. Wayland was crushing in my laptop for some reason.

If you cannot edit the launcher, create a new one*, add the details as necessary using the existing one for the command, but then change the icon. Once working remove the one that you cannot edit.
* Right click the desktop, create launcher ;-)
