I have a hidpi TV connected to my laptop that loses its signal when I try to switch it to a lower resolution. It's especially troublesome at boot because I'm trying to force a 1920x1080 resolution or else I have to enter my encryption key with microscopic text.
If I switch the TV input to something else and then change it back the signal will magically reappear at the resolution I forced with the pretty terminus 132b font.

I'm stuck here looking for an EDID binary for my monitor and the wiki says "You can also try looking in /sys/class/drm/*/edid" but I'm getting confused about what I'm looking for.
In /sys/class/drm/card2-DP-1: there is a file called EDID. Is that what I'm looking for? Can I just use that and put a .bin on the end of it? I'm hoping there's an easy way before I try learning the hard way.
Well, nevemind.I tried it anyways and that method didn't work for me
