Does anyone know of a beryl plugin for a root menu (like the *box have)? I found one in beryl's forum, but wasn't able to get it to work...
You can use any app that provides a root menu, like xfdesktop. No need for it to be a beryl plugin.

Thanks for your suggestion. I wanted something light, though, ergo [weird, I forgot the English word but recalled the Latin one ] the plugin.
Well, I guess dmenu (http://tools.suckless.org/view.sh/x+tools) does the job of launching apps quite nicely, no need for a root menu.

Beryl sucks at my HP NX 9105 laptop computer. But XGL worked very well except some stability problems. I don't understand how you use Beryl this good with kiba-dock etc.. I guess that kiba-dock requires some other WM like Compiz etc right ?

meqif, are you using any special font settings? All of your fonts look especially sharp to me, unless I am just imagining things.

I got Kickoff compiled for Arch. I am in the process of taking out all the SuSE specific stuff at the moment. I just wanted to get the thing working. It was a bloody nightmare of compiling ... failing compiling .... many times over. But that all paid off.

I've seen young people waste their time reading books about sensitive vampires. It's kinda sad. But you say it's not the end of the world... Well, maybe it is!
