i've seen a topic on the same problem but couldn't find it now so i decided to post a solution for this problem, it worked at least for me.
unfortunately, i have a nvidia gpu (rtx 3060), and connect it to my monitor via hdmi, using proprietary nvidia drivers
if you're experiencing the same problem try switching your compatibility input version to 1.4
it will refresh cap your monitor at 120hz, but at least it works!
