My monitor is glitching

I have a laptop and a monitor connected to it, which is the one I have a problem with. The laptop screen works perfectly fine. My gpu and cpu is amd.
I also use hyprland with HyDE dotfiles.

I think this happens when I open something on the monitor's screen, a browser for example. Then the screen freezes for a while and when I can move my mouse again, it starts to flicker very quickly with purple and green. Sometimes it stops for a while. And the coursor sometimes becomes a purple sqare (but only on the second screen, the laptop screen works fine). I can drag the windows from this screen to the laptop screen, but I can't see it on the monitor's screen because it just freezes.

I had this issue for a while now and tried editing the config file, changing the cable and some other stuff.

Btw it also happened on windows but only a few times, it was a single flicker and my screen didn't freeze.

(I feel like this question might be dumb but I'm 14 and have really basic knowledge about computers so please be nice (╥﹏╥) )

Re: My monitor is glitching

1. lose the 3rd party dotfiles, how does hyprland behave in the default configuration?
2. do you get the same w/ weston/sway/X11?
If so, please post your Xorg log, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General for an oversight of the setup.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/AMDGPU … white/gray
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/AMDGPU … _(default) (check and enforce a higher P-state)

Btw it also happened on windows

3rd link below. Mandatory.
Disable it (it's NOT the BIOS setting!) and reboot windows and linux twice for voodo reasons.
