So I've been at this for a little bit. With plasma-pa installed, since I want the sound when I change the volume, when I use volume up/down shortcut, it does not change the current main channel, but only a different one. It is being particularly hard headed about doing this, and there doesn't seem to be any feedback or settings as to how this shortcut works.
Edit: Solution is don't use plasma-pa. There was an alternate program I chose for it, but no longer remember.
