Thunar in repo...

Would having thunar in repos. be a real problem think enough Archers use it ?

even if it goes into community

Or am I the only one  :?

Re: Thunar in repo...

it's already in testing and will move to extra when Xfce4.4 will become stable.

Re: Thunar in repo...

There are currently two packages of Thunar in the repositories

testing/thunar 0.5.0rc2-1
new modern file manager for Xfce
unstable/thunar-svn 23959-1
Thunar is a modern file manager for Xfce

The thunar-svn package cannot be installed through pacman, it comes out as corrupt (this is a known problem), but I am using the one from testing and it works ok, though I get errors about not being able to connect to the HAL daemon.

I'm sure quite a bit of people use XFCE or at least Thunar since Arch is minimalist-oriented

Re: Thunar in repo...

I think its stable enough to get into repo .. after all more people using it quicker Thunar will develop.

Surprised no one has jumped to say they use it

Re: Thunar in repo...

thunar depends on exo>=0.3.1.10rc1 - so you will have to wait until Xfce 4.4. will move.
