[SOLVED] Arch install refuses to recognize ssd

So, me and my friend have been trying to install arch on his laptop, now I've only installed arch manually once and with archinstall 3x so I'm a noob. While going thru archinstall, the disk partitioning tool refused to recognise his ssd (he had it already partitioned in windows, he made a blank partition to install arch to) but arch was not detecting either of those partitions, I ran lsblk and found nothing, tried doing "modprobe nvme" to no avail, we messed around with the partition a little in windows (formatting it, changing the file system from NTFS to ext4, resizing it) and nothing made a difference, any ideas?
