A whole lot of things will depend on glibc updates. Just about everything compiled against the new version, in fact. Partial updates are bad, and that's probably the worst partial update possible.
Yes, Partial updates are bad, but normally glibc update break things, in my case Stardew Valley, and is not goin to fix sooner so, the only option y freeze glibc, and with this problem in my case, freeze systemd as well.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Of course, after a lots of hours and pepole searching on forums and web why a specific app/game does not work, you can get the best solution.
But as user level, freeze a package for a while is still an option.
