USB Keyboard not functional after 2-hour of inactivity

Hello,

I have a USB-connected Razer BlackWidow keyboard, connected to a Thinkpad E15 laptop, via a Lenovo ThinkPad Universal USB-C Dock. Two months ago I did not use to experience this problem, but recently this started to manifest almost daily:

- I'd leave my computer unattended for an hour or two, then when I get back, I'd find it seemingly asleep (although my power management settings are configured to do nothing after inactivity), and my keyboard's LEDs are turned off. Plus the keyboard is not responsive.Neither is my bluetooth mouse. I can open the laptop's lid and then this would wake the monitors (laptop's, plus two external DELLs), but the external keyboard would still be dead. Having woken the computer, I can see that the bluetooth icon is missing from the system tray, which would explain the mouse being unresponsive.

At this point, the only thing I can do is restart, in order to be able to use my external keyboard and mouse.

I'm not sure what troubleshooting information to provide, so now I'm going to provide a link to a gist with the output of `fastfetch -c all`: https://gist.github.com/nasko/ba25246d7 … 5cfdcf92c6.

I'd be grateful if anyone could point me to the right commands to execute (I guess while the issue is manifested and the keyboard and bluetooth mouse are dead), so that we could start troubleshooting this issue.

As I mentioned, it's weird that I'd find my laptop asleep, considering my power management settings are like this:

On AC Power:

- When inactive: Do nothing
- When power button pressed: Show logout screen
- When laptop lid closed: Sleep ('Even when an external monitor is connected' is unchecked)
- Dim automatically: 20 minutes
- Turn off screen: 30 minutes, When locked: 5 minutes
- Change keyboard brightness: unchecked

In System Settings, these are the keyboard- and mouse devices:

Keyboard model is set to Generic 104-key PC, as Razer is not available for selecting.
Mouse device is set to: SteelSeries Rival 3 Wireless, which is correct

Thanks!

Re: USB Keyboard not functional after 2-hour of inactivity

Oh, I guess I was too quick to post, without properly searching in the forums for similar posts. I just found [SOLVED] Mouse and keyboard stop working randomly and it seems a similar issue. It does not refer to the bluetooth problem though.

Anyway, I just updated my packages and got the core/linux 6.13.6.arch1-1 kernel. Will observe the keyboard and mouse behaviour from now on.
