There's nothing here that fundamentally suggests an issue with your microphone. What outputs do you get from

pactl list sources
pactl list source-outputs

during reproduction and from which application are you trying to record?

Don't ever use sudo in the context of pulseaudio, it's always wrong and not going to help you with whatever your actual issue is.
