I think that python-vlc from the AUR has the requirements for moving it to the official repos, extra or core, so I was wondering where can I suggest it.
I know that is not the best of the arguments, but beside matching the basic requirements, most of distributions have already adopt it, so some software expect is as dependency.
What do you think?

6. When will $package be in the repos?
When it is ready.
The votes are being seen, it's just a matter of a package maintainer taking it on, but that's strictly voluntary

Well it's a library, so realistically it'll happen when something in the repos needs it. Arch very rarely packages libraries just to have them.

Yeah I know, the idea to create the post was to potentially promote it and see if some maintainer would take it,

The number of maintainers who have posted on the forums in the last few years is in the low single digits os this is probably not the best forum to attract their attention.
