Gnome Shell (Wayland) stucks for 20s after logging in

After I login from GDM to Gnome Shell (Wayland), it stucks for 20 seconds. During the 20 seconds, some applications (e.g. Chromium, Files (Nautilus), Settings (gnome-control-center)) do not start, the audio icon on the top bar does not show up, and applications do not have sound.

I compare the journal before and after the issue appears (the issue appears after an update) and it seems that gsd-settings is causing the issue (gsd-xsettings[1744]: Connection failure: Timeout).
