Hello,
I have been using Arch for a month or two now, and I will preface this by saying this isn't Arch exclusive. I did have this same issue on Linux Mint, but never found a fix there either.
Allow me to be specific about my issue.
I am running Arch x64 on Linux-LTS kernel, with KDE Plasma 6, I run it on X11 and I have NVIDIA graphics hardware with the proprietary drivers.
I have two monitors. My main monitor is plugged via an HDMI cable. My secondary is plugged via Displayport.
My secondary monitor doesn't have this issue, if I turn it OFF then ON, it recovers as expected.
However, my main monitor does not. If I turn it OFF then ON, it will say "No Signal".
That is, until I press CTRL+ALT+F1 to go to a Virtual Console then CTRL+ALT+F2 to go back to the DE. After this, signal is restored and the monitor works as expected.
Note that this is only a work around, and I must do this every time I wish to restore signal to my screen.
I would like my screen to act as expected, and have signal when I turn it back on, rather than using this workaround.
Any help would be appreciated. Please, let me know what kinds of logs or any other information you need.
Thanks all,
JoeST
Here is my journalctl after turning monitor off, on, then restoring signal by swapping Virtual Consoles

Edit: Added journalctl

Thanks! I went ahead and switched to DP, just to avoid the headache. I will mark this as Solved.
