I have questions about this commit applied to main Archlinux kernel:
1. What was the purpose to build in that modules into kernel?
2. What this changes in usage?
3. Was that change done by Archlinux maintainers or mainline kernel maintainers?
I saw that it added +2MB to kernel memory usage - to 20MB.

https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … requests/8 and https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … issues/119 have more info.
The answer to 3 is clearly archlinux devs.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

OK, understood.
Also maybe module to read fat32 boot uefi partition (fat or vfat) also should be added to builtin, especially for people who don't mount boot partition when they update system?

That's a user error and should be solved in user space instead of kernel space.
