Hello,
I've been using screen sharing with Firefox and Chromium successfully under KDE/Wayland for over a year now, but since the last KDE (Pipewire?) update, it doesn't work any longer.
If I select screen sharing in Firefox the tab/screen/selector won't show up and I can't choose which screen to share. Chromium will show the selector of which screen/tab to share, but crashes the moment when I start screen sharing. I'm really at loss here, since I need screen sharing for work.
I've installed xdg-desktop-portal, xdg-desktop-portal-kde and all of the environment variables seem correct to me:
XDG_SESSION_DESKTOP=KDE
XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland

Have you filed a bug report at KDE?

Why I run Arch? To "BTW I run Arch" the guy one grade younger.
And to let my siblings and cousins laugh at Arsch Linux...

I don't think it's related since I've tried both Firefox and Chromium and both seem affected. And I haven't filed a bug report at KDE yet, because I want to rule out any wrong configuration on my end/arch linux.
I'm really surprised that so few Linux people seem to use screen sharing – or is just my installation affected?

Yesterday xdg-desktop-portal 1.20.0-2 was released and what can I say – screen sharing works now. So I'm kinda glad I didn't file a bug report at KDE.
Thanks all!

This has nothing to do with xdg-desktop-portal, it was fixed in chromium

It must be sth. else in my case, since now I can screen share via Firefox, too (which didn't work before).
