Can't run anything in Wine

Trying to run anything in Wine will do absolutely nothing most of the time.
running winecfg does output this

Read the Wine Developers Guide on how to set up winedbg or another debugger

I guess there's an issue with the graphic drivers. I'm running an intel iGPU (Intel UHD G4, from an i3-1115G4) with mesa and vulkan-intel and their lib32 versions.

If the latter, do things work on X ?

Try creating a fresh wine prefix from scratch, does that work ?

For almost every try I did I've used a clean profile.
I'm currently running wayland, I will try on X in a min

xf86-video-intel is not installed right? you don't want that. I faintly remember issues here with some form of intel constellation and wine but that thread is ages old. Googling for the relevant token

FWIW if the debuglog hangs on the computername, you did set your hostname? https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Networ … e_hostname -- which wayland session is this exactly and how are you starting it (or i3 for that matter)? xorg-xwayland installed? Found the old thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=261004&p=2 ... you don't have a custom xorg conf somewhere? Remove it in case.

I did set my /etc/hostname
I'm running hyprland, started from sddm
xorg-xwayland is installed
I'll search for xorg conf files

/etc/X11/xorg.conf doesn't exist
there is a X11/xorg.conf.d/00-keyboard.conf that sets my keyboard layout for SDDM

Section "InputClass"
	Identifier "system-keyboard"

That all looks like it should... did you already customize/install something in wine? Does a new wineprefix work?

WINEPREFIX=$HOME/winetest winecfg

. FWIW for checking

pacman -Qs 'mesa|intel|amd'

Everyime I tried I deleted my wineprefix (rm -r ~/.wine), but I still tried with WINEPREFIX=$HOME/winetest

wine: created the configuration directory '/home/romeo/winetest'

I installed Wine from flatpak (org.winehq.Wine stable-24.08) and it works.
I will use that as a temporary fix, but I'm still confused about native Wine not working

I'm just using Wine (org.winehq.Wine) from flatpak and I used Flatseal (com.github.tchx84.Flatseal) to give it access to the folders I need
For Steam, you can get it from flatpak (com.valvesoftware.Steam) and try using ProtonGE from flatpak too (com.valvesoftware.Steam.CompatibilityTool.Proton-GE), this works for me
