Steam games not starting

Whenever I try to run certain games in Steam, the button turns blue and reads "CANCEL", then changes to "STOP" and then back to normal. The games that I try running are "Native" on ProtonDB and made by Valve. No popups, no error messages, no nothing. Vulkan shaders are installed, I've tried every tip that I have found online, read a lot of arch wiki articles but still nothing. PC: Dell workstation Z230

Re: Steam games not starting

What outputs do you get when you run steam through the terminal and try to start the game?

Nothing, the same cycle repeats.

Re: Steam games not starting

Everything fixed now, just had to choose "Legacy OpenGL" instead of "Play Team Fortress 2". WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME TO DO THIS??? ALL THIS TIME!?!? ON WINDOWS IT WAS ALLWAYS "Play Team Fortress 2"
Thank you to everyone who tried to help.
