Hello,
I've been given a wireless Xbox 360 controller and I'm trying to connect to it via Bluetooth. I'm using a generic bluetooth dongle connected via USB which works fine for other bluetooth devices, but I've been unable to pair to the controller.
I've tried to follow the instructions here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Gamepa … controller, including modprobing xpad and setting the mentioned kernel parameter, but the controller doesn't show up for pairing in bluetoothctl.
Do I need the mentioned special wireless receiver for this to work? Or am I missing something else?
Appreciate any help!

A dedicated wireless receiver is indeed required, I got my controller working by ordering a third-party dongle and it works perfectly.
Marking this as solved. I hope this doesn't count as necrobumping, my apologies if that's the case.
