I have the same issue, also running KDE Plasma on Wayland. Turning off hardware acceleration in Firefox didn't help. The issue is not present in Chrome.
I have the same version of software as listed above (except standard kernel instead of Zen) but for hardware I have an AMD processor and GPU.

Yup, you were on the right track. I just came back to mark this as solved, ran into another use with same issue. Resetting gfx.webrender.compositor.force-enabled def seems to have fixed it, though I reset other settings related to webrender just to be safe.
