pacman -Syu showed no repository updates, but still updated packages.

I ran:

```
$ sudo pacman -Syu
[sudo] password for arch-linux-prophet:
:: Synchronizing package databases...
core is up to date
extra is up to date
multilib is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...
Packages (4) adw-gtk-theme-5.10-1  chromium-135.0.7049.95-1  firefox-137.0.2-1
             gnome-shell-extension-gtk4-desktop-icons-ng-1:97-1
Total Download Size:   183.51 MiB
Total Installed Size:  590.94 MiB
Net Upgrade Size:       -0.11 MiB
:: Proceed with installation? [Y/n]
```

and as seen above, there were no repository updates, but still package updates.

I have not ran `pacman -Sy` (without updating) since the last time I ran `pacman -Syu`.

How can this happen?

(Note, I'm in Manjaro, in case you notice my package versions are older, but I *think* this is an Arch Linux question regarding how pacman works).

---

To paint a clearer picture, the commands I ran before this were something like this:

```
pacman -Syu # a week ago or so
pacman -S gimp # install a package with no upgrade
# maybe another pacman -S some-package here too, without an upgrade
# installed Microsoft Edge from the AUR using an AUR helper (f.e. pamac, I hope this isn't messing with the package DB in some way that causes this)
pacman -Syu # finally this today with the above results
```

Is there anything that could cause this besides an AUR helper doing something it shouldn't be doing?

no it's not a Arch Linux question. It's a Manjaro question, ask in Manjaro support forums, there's a reason why Manjaro is it's own distro and we can't assume that manjaro hasn't affected anything in regards to pacman that can be causing your issue, therefore, please ask in manjoro support forums
