[SOLVED] Battery stopped charging to more than 44%

I've used my laptop with no AC yesterday, during which its power dropped to 44%. After plugging AC, it didn't charge to more than 44%. Unplugging AC causes it to shutdown instantly, although I've got to use it on battery's power this morning.

Re: [SOLVED] Battery stopped charging to more than 44%

Your 'energy-rate' (why don't they call that 'power' ?) is zero W.   That should be something around 10 or 20W.

No idea why or specifically how to fix it.  Perhaps something is confused or is trying to protect the battery.  Maybe we can reset that; I'd try this:

Power off the machine, unplug it, have a cup of coffee, plug it back in.

Does the computer have any kind of external indicator that it is is charging?  This Asus Vivobook has an LED that shows green when the system is running on shore power and shows orange when actually charging the battery.  If it does, and it indicates it is charging, let it be for a few minutes.   If it has no indicator, well, try it for a few minutes anyway.

Then, boot the computer.  Check to see if the battery state has improved.  Check to see if it is still charging.

Re: [SOLVED] Battery stopped charging to more than 44%

Had it unplugged for a while and it seemed to help as it managed to charge for more than 45% now.

Re: [SOLVED] Battery stopped charging to more than 44%

Well, a positive "Energy rate" is a good sign.
I will say that you battery looks a bit long in the tooth.

   energy-full: 27,15 Wh
   energy-full-design: 39,96 Wh

You're about 2/3 of a new battery's capacity

Re: [SOLVED] Battery stopped charging to more than 44%

It only managed to reach 67%. It seems having it unplugged is helpful. Since the problem is due to my battery is dying, I'm marking this as solved.
