Firefox Scrolling Gesture in Tablet Mode is Interpreted as Text-Drag

I'm running arch with xfce on a Lenovo Yoga. Hyfetch returns as follows:

----------------------
OS: Arch Linux x86_64
Host: 20JES0YU00 ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2nd
Kernel: 6.14.4-arch1-1
Uptime: 17 mins
Packages: 749 (pacman)
Shell: bash 5.2.37
Resolution: 1920x1080
DE: Xfce 4.20 (x11)
WM: Xfwm4
WM Theme: Colloid-Dark
Theme: Colloid-Dark [GTK2/3]
Icons: McMojave-circle-dark [GTK2/3]
Terminal: xfce4-terminal
Terminal Font: Monospace 12
CPU: Intel i5-7300U (4) @ 3.5GHz
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 620
Memory: 2.05 GiB / 7.49 GiB (27%)
Network: Wifi
Bluetooth: Intel Corp. Bluetooth wireless interface
BIOS: LENOVO 1.50 (11/15/2023)

Additionally I have installed Touchegg.

I would like to use my laptop in tablet mode to browse the web. However scrolling gesture selects text instead of advancing the page. I have been following the following wiki pages:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Tablet_PC
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Firefox/Tweaks

However I have not observed any changes.
I have tried the following steps:

  1. Install wacom driver

    $ sudo pacman -S xf86-input-wacom
  2. Enable Touchscreen Gestures in Firefox

    dom.w3c_touch_events.enabled = 1

    (Was originally set to 2)

  3. Set Environment Variables

    $ env MOZ_USE_XINPUT2=1
  4. Disable xwacom input

    $ xsetwacom --set "Wacom Pen and multitouch sensor Finger touch" Gesture off
  5. Relog

I have not observed any change in behaviour after any step. Any ideas how to diagnose this or what else to try?
Greetings
