Hello there, this is my first post so bare with me.
After reading the wiki to the best of my abilities I still have not resolved the following issue. On Google Chrome, when I open one window fcitx5 works like a charm, I can switch between my korean and japanese inputs without problem and works properly. The problem arises when I open another window, my english (default) input works fine, but for some reason my korean and japanese input don't work, it works fine on the first window, but not on the second or subsequent windows. (I can change inputs, but when typing there is no text "inserted" in the text field.) Anyone has any clues on why this is?
I am using hyprland, which means I'm on wayland, I have the following flags next to my google chrome execution keybindings:
google-chrome-stable --gtk-version=4 --ozone-platform=wayland --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --enable-wayland-ime --wayland-text-input-version=3
Any help would be appreciated.

Same problem w/ chromium?
Sure chrome doesn't end up using xwayland anyway?
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Waylan … plications
But because "next window" the answer is likely "because wayland"? Does this also affect X11 or a different wayland compositor (sway, weston)?
