I have switched off baloo with suspend and disable in the terminal, additionally I have deactivated the file search in the settings and then restarted.
I just tried again and “balooctl6 status” says that it is disabled, but same problem.

'key… what are the remaining (kip) processes? Notably the https ones?

Do you mean KIO?
Not sure how I can find that out, the PIDs are no longer matching after the restart.
Wouldn't know how to find out after the fact, maybe I just don't have the expertise.

If you check the process list, there're probably such kio (yup, sorry, typo) processes right now.
Their list of opened files might provide a hint but from the context

plasmashell* | R-* is all CIFS/SMB stuff - the kioworkers might be very short-lived?
The idea would be to disable/remove kconnectd and xsettings (next to baloo and the cifs mount) and see whether that has any impact.
You need to figure which kioworker is stalling the process termination and if the shutting down system can no longer be analyzed live, stripping the pot. causes to verify some kioworker to be the culprit and then identify the offender by sequentially re-introducing them is the only option left ![]()

I have similar problem but xorg works totally fine, here is journalctl for wayland: https://paste.c-net.org/EquityWarfield and xorg: https://paste.c-net.org/LowersLawsuit (btw i can be really dumb sometimes (and i'm very novice))

Because it is like top posting.

I fixed it by deleting all widgets not from folder(not /usr/share/plasmoids/ ) but from plasma gui(https://paste.c-net.org/HandlePosters) and then reinstalling plasma by pacman, here's journalctl now: https://paste.c-net.org/DiagnoseSports (sorry for -r it's just more human-readable in my opinion) btw for some reason grub quiet loglevel=3 doesn't work maybe it's related UPDATE: it's not working, it returned after i installed widgets back(?) upd2: no, not caused by widgets(not 100%)

Makes sense since the russian grammar is completely backwards ![]()
https://paste.c-net.org/DiagnoseSports has a kwin_wayland hiccup but no plasmashell termination failure, does it currently end w/ a running threaded-ml - which seems libpulse … so … the shutdown sound???
Otherwise, what is that control-station thing? remote control? Network related?
Offline
control station is just a widget(https://github.com/EliverLara/kde-control-station), deleting it does nothing. there is no shutdown sound (btw it should be 13 мая not мая 13 as it sounds weird)

'key, brute force (my favorite force)

systemctl --user edit plasma-plasmashell --drop-in=crashme[Service]
FinalKillSignal=
FinalKillSignal=SIGABRThttps://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Systemd#Examples
Then we'll hopefully get a https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Core_d … _core_dump out of this

i don't really understand what should i do after systemctl command...

Sorry, there was an extra code pair in my post and it's "plasma-plasmashell", not "plasmashell"
The plan is to augment the plasmashell.service, override the FinalKillSignal so that the process doesn't get SIGKILL'd but SIGABORT'ed which will ideally induce a coredump (if hopefully drkonqi doesn't get in the way)
We can then inspect the coredump to figure wtf plasma is doing there when it refuses to die.
Offline
so what should i do exactly?
Offline
Edit the service with a drop-in (second code box), restart plasma, shutdown, hope for a coredump, see link in the wiki (which was interestingly subject to the third typo in that post, I' guess it's time for the alcoven…)
Offline
Problem seems to be solved by an update of KDE Plasma and/or Nvidia, not sure what exactly it fixed.
