recreating python-dashtable

python-dashtable from Eric Engestrom was asked to be removed in 2 Aug. 2020 with the reason:

duplicate of python-dash-table

python-dash-table was asked to be removed in 6 Oct. 2021 with the reason:

upstream has merged dash-table into the main dash repo this package is
now redundant with the aur package python-dash
see https://github.com/plotly/dash-
table/blob/2e551a94ad1345dbb7ca343b2800b768c925d3ea/README.md#L3

except that plotly's dashtable is not doakey3's DashTable so the deletion of Eric Engestrom's python-dashtable was wrong!

I hope that this forum is the right place to ask that this package is unremoved and put back on the AUR.

Re: recreating python-dashtable

Someone (maybe yourself?) needs to re-upload it back to the AUR, but I believe it is not worth it because it's been 7 years since the last commit. There is a fork, https://pypi.org/project/dashtable2/ , that doesn't seem to be in the AUR (after a quick search), and looks active.

If you decide to upload it yourself, please make sure to follow the guidelines: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Python … guidelines

Repos aren't deleted, only the aurweb references to it.
https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … -dashtable

Pretty bad PKGBUILD, though, I won't suggest using it in it's current form.
