So very recently i reinstalled Arch because i was dumb idiot and removed a package which resulted in pacman breaking, but the weird thing about this install is that a lot of issues came up that i never experienced in my couple months of installing and using Arch, for example audio wouldn't play on firefox, i had to download apulse to get it working, which is something that never happened to me beforehand. And also the steam overlay being buggy with Half-Life 2, i originally thought that the overlay was buggy on all games but after trying out some other games, including other Source games i realized that Half-Life 2 was the odd one out, being seemingly the only game to have this issue. Anyways, the steam overlay is completely black when i press Shift+Tab, and also i have an FPS counter on the top right that just doesn't draw. It looks like this :
