Arch+Wayland | AMD iGPU not displaying full refresh rates & locked @60

Im currently on a desktop with arch+wayland connected via HDMI (2.0) from the motherboard. Im currently locked to 60hz and cant go higher but on x11 i can do sub resolutions under 1440p but @120 max. I even tried xrandr and tweaking it and still no luck. I know the HDMI port can do full native monitor support with no issues on windows 11 but im unsure why im cant seem to get it to work on arch.

If anyone can help me i much appreciate it!

Arch + Wayland
Arch Kernel: 6.14.4

This resolution and refreshrate requires HDMI 2.1 which amdgpu has been forbidden from implementing in an open source form by the HDMI forum. If you have a displayport port/cable instead this is likely your best bet for getting it to work on linux. A DP <-> HDMI 2.1. adapter might also be a possibility - but these are often spotty in general.

You might be able to edit the EDID to reduce the color space or so. But generally this limitation is due to legal issues.

See https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/1417 if you're curious about the general details.
