[SOLVED] Evince doesn't run and doesn't display an error.

When I run `evince` with or without a filename, all that happens is that the command prompt is returned.  No error message is displayed.  I have tried re-installing evince, but nothing changes.

I'm not sure where to go from here.  Usually you have an error message to go on.  Where would I check for an error message?

 $ uname -a
Linux commandos 6.14.6-arch1-1 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Fri, 09 May 2025 17:36:18 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux
