[SOLVED] Terminal freezes with any commands

Hi!

As described, the terminal freezes with any commands - well, maybe not freezes but is in a "working" state where I can type additional characters and it just outputs their terminal code. No amount of time seems to allow it to stop it's "thinking".

Not quite sure how to debug this one as I can't use the terminal to do so. The two things that I did prior to the issue, having not used my arch system for a little bit were: 1. ran a pacman update, for which I did need to resolve a few conflicts for it to go through, as it had been a minute since the last update. From memory, I did this by renaming two files in the in edid-decode-git package, but I'm not 100% on that being the exact naming. And number 2.  I installed the nordvpn-bin from the aur using makepgk. I did need to install a legacy package dependency for this to work - lib[something]. I seemed to have no trouble with "sudo systemctrl enable nordvpn" after that but when trying to start it with "sudo systemctrl start nordvpn", I noticed this issue. Several restarts later and a lot of head scratching, and I'm stumped. All terminal commands just puts the terminal into a state where it is as if it is doing something but never completes. There is no output beyond any keystroke codes and exit code has no effect.

Sorry I don't have more concrete info to debug from but any help in finding out what's happening and how to resolve would be massively appreciated.

Re: [SOLVED] Terminal freezes with any commands

Figured it out - oh-my-zsh being useless. Uninstalled it and now working as expected again.
