Thunderbolt monitor won't wake on itself

Since my laptop doesn't have two HDMI ports, I decided to use a thunderbolt-DP cable. It works without anything else being set up, however if I shut down my laptop and then after about 30 seconds (which takes my monitor to turn off, i.e. blue dot turns orange) I start it again, display won't wake and work if I don't restart it via a button or replug it. My other HDMI monitor wakes fine, if I replug HDMI to the one I'm trying to connect with thunderbolt, it wakes fine too. Is there something I can do about it? I've heard about trying to set Thunderbolt Authorization to "None" in bios, but my laptop doesn't have it. Specs are: Thinkbook G6+ AHP (AMD version), Wayland, Sway.
