Hi.
I need to support a new arch linux user via remote and therefore need to share the desktop.
After installing tigerVNC I found out that it does not support sharing, you are only able to connect to the display, when the user is not logged in.
What I am looking for is an app which provides real sharing.
I do not want to use any google software at all.
Is there any future proofen open source software out there you are successfully using and feel it is recommendable?
Thanks.

-rustdesk is the best remote assistance program ive used so far free or otherwise, i highly recommend running your own server though as the official ones are unreliable and full of scammers, you can find it in the aur
-meshcentral is the best free remote management software ive used, it requires you to run a server though
rustdesk is the one you want as its the best at remote assistance, but thats all it does, mesh allows remote monitoring and background file browsing and terminal access

Thanks for the hint, you were right. Meanwhile I got it up running as expected.

Thank you @jonno2002 for your suggestions. I looked at both, they seemed a bit oversized for what I was trying to archive but both are looking promising for bigger projects.
