If you look at the optional dependencies of the gnome-control-center package you'll note that it lists gnome-user-share as an optional dependency for this functionality. So is that installed?
Pacman will tell you about potential optional dependencies when installing any given package.

i checked but,
`gnome-user-share` is already installed. ![]()
same for the media sharing as well. its grayed out too.
if i am not connected to any network i can toggle the enable/disable switch.
but right after connecting to a network, its turned off and grayed out. ![]()

I don't know gnome-user-share but it seems to abstract WebDAV and if you intend to use that on public networks/over the internet, make sure to setup very strong authentication.
Otherwise and please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
