ArchWiki search suggestions blocked before first search

Search suggestions on ArchWiki are currently blocked before one does a first search.
Before it, only an endless loading bar is shown, with "Loading search suggestions" shown below.
Normal behavior (~200 ms load time) resumes after a successful check by the Anubis bot checker.

Is this desired behavior? I would much rather just get checked by Anubis when I enter the wiki,
as I usually don't remember the exact name of the page that I am looking for.

Which URL do you use for search suggestions? The one used by the wiki itself (https://wiki.archlinux.org/api.php?acti … 0&limit=10) is not blocked.

No url, it happens when using the search box on the wiki pages .

Both firefox and falkon have this.

Is it Anubis blocking? I also couldn't show autocomplete in search, but when I navigate to page I got the anubis protection page, and afterwards search  worked correctly.

I can reproduce the issue in a private browsing window in qutebrowser, but in my main qutebrowser profile it works as normal (perhaps because I have previously passed the gatekeeping and/or am signed in to my wiki account).

No url, it happens when using the search box on the wiki pages .

The browser still needs to send a query to some URL to get the suggestions.

It seems that Vector-2022 (the default skin) is sending queries like https://wiki.archlinux.org/rest.php/v1/ … }&limit=10 but other skins are getting it from https://wiki.archlinux.org/api.php?acti … 0&limit=10

We need to unblock the former URL

The search now seems to be working again. Will mark this solved in about a week.
