Application aliases (short name) in gnome super menu (app list)

How do I create short name aliases for applications for the gnome applications list?   NOT a .hashrc/.zshrc alias..

Example, I have Virtual Machine Manager installed and if I press SUPER and then type "vmm" Virtual Machine Manager is resolved / returned.

How do I create custom aliases for apps in this list?   For example, I have Tiny Media Manager installed and I habitually type "tmm" and it does not find it.  If I type "tiny" it will be in the results.

I tried searching, but don't know what to search for and got nothing relevant.

Thanks,

Re: Application aliases (short name) in gnome super menu (app list)

You can add a keyword to your Tiny Media Manager desktop entry:

Keywords=tmm

After adding this entry you can type tmm to launch Tiny Media Manager from your GNOME activities overview.

See here for valid desktop entry keys: https://specifications.freedesktop.org/ … -keys.html
