Pavucontrol keeps looping reconnecting

I have been trying to have my VR microphone working, but when I have its source sink enabled, the audio widged for kde either freaks out or just spams me with reconnecting. For pavucontrol its similiar but it doesnt freak out, only spams me with reconnecting. here is a link to the log at loglevel 3 https://ebise.online/$/VjE93.

Thanks for helping me!

Re: Pavucontrol keeps looping reconnecting

Hi! From what you describe, it seems your VR microphone device is rapidly disconnecting and reconnecting, which causes the audio widget in KDE and pavucontrol to spam reconnect messages.

Here are some suggestions that might help:

Check whether you are using PulseAudio or PipeWire by running:

pactl info | grep "Server Name"
Try disabling the KDE audio widget temporarily to see if the problem persists when using only pavucontrol.

Check if USB auto-suspend is enabled for your VR microphone device and try disabling it, as it may cause the device to disconnect intermittently.

Make sure your system, kernel, audio drivers, PulseAudio/PipeWire, and KDE Plasma are fully updated.

If possible, share specific error or disconnect messages from your logs so we can analyze further.

Additionally, you can restart PulseAudio in verbose/debug mode to get more detailed logs:

pulseaudio -k
pulseaudio --start --log-level=debug

Then reproduce the issue to collect more detailed info.

If you want, I can help you analyze the log you linked and suggest more specific fixes.

Let me know how I can assist!

Want me to help you dig into the log to find what exactly is causing the reconnects?
