I normally use my laptop with an external display but I had problems with the login screen not showing on it just on the built in,
I've somehow fixed it no idea how but now with the external one unplugged on boot the built in screen just displaying an underscore I still can log in just can't see the login screen.
I can switch to tty during this and the display unfreezes.
Doing sddm --test-mode once Im logged in works fine and displays the login.
For now I just set it to log me in automatically.
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600h
GPU - RTX 3070
iGPU - Radeon RX Vega 7 (i think)
DE - KDE Plasma 6.3.5
WM - KWin Wayland
*edit it also works if I set lock screen on lid closed when I open it the login screen display normally
however sddm --test-mode displays the update lockscreen and closing the lid shows the old one

/etc/X11/xorg.conf is still present in that log, you should remove it and try to start X11 (or reboot) again

[ 8.572] (==) Using config file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf"Remove that file, restart X11, post the updated log.

Yeah deleting xorg.conf worked, I dum dum deleted the logs.
And about the exporting (i have no idea how to quote a single line) yeah I know I was just throwing everything I could, because I have another bug where for some reason the external screen runs games at 1/4 the refresh rate, so I thought that maybe wayland has like a built in vsync or smth. I believe now it's because wayland isn't good with nvidia and some people say that it is also bad for multi monitor setups.
So I'll probably be reinstalling with some other display server you can give me recommendations

You'll have to open a separate thread for this, the problem doesn't exist on plasma/x11?
some other display server you can give me recommendations
Your display server options are
1. one of the wayland compositors (you also buy the WM and pot. desktop environment)
2. X11
"wayland" isn't a thing, it's scant protocol that's implemented by various compositors that will all perform somewhat differently wrt multiscreen setups or the proprietary driver (though since nvidia supports drm, fbdev and gbm, there's actually nothing special about it - the sway developer seems to still hold a small grudge and requires you to add a parameter to run on nvidia, though it's technically no longer required)
Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
