issue with latest kernel package for nvidia cards.

using the nvidia package and the linux kernel package, the nvidia driver is not loaded. only novacore.  displaymanager never starts. I tried many nvidia versions including dkms versions nothing worked. turns out its the kernel, i booted into an old kernel i had installed and now everything works fine. the faulting kernel is the one on the offical package. linux 6.15.1.arch1-2, everything was working fine the last time i updated. currently now im using an older kernel i can continue using my pc, but if anyone else has this issue, the only solution i found was to simply boot into a different kernel.
4070ti, tried many nvidia drivers, openmodules, closed etc. issue with kernel package

that is the current kernel in stable  - do you also have testing repo's enabled?

Re: issue with latest kernel package for nvidia cards.

fixed the issue by blocking nova driver. regenerate initram or reinstall 6.15 kernel
yes i just switched to -testing repos. nova core and nova drm are not ready for production.. wondering why it was activated in configs..

+ CONFIG_NOVA_CORE=m

❯ cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nova.conf

   2 │ blacklist nova_drm

Please open a issue on the archlinux gitlab instance against either the linux package requesting the modules removal or the nvidia-utils packages requesting they be added to the default module blacklist as conflicting with nvidia.
