I’m using KDE Plasma 6 and I’m having a problem with Firefox-based browsers. Chromium-based ones work just fine. The issue is that Firefox completely ignores system variables like http_proxy, https_proxy, HTTP_PROXY, HTTPS_PROXY, as well as the proxy settings set in Plasma.
Vivaldi (which is Chromium-based) handles Plasma proxy settings correctly.
I’ve confirmed that the environment variables are properly set — for example, pacman traffic goes through the proxy, as I can see in the sing-box logs.
If I manually enter proxy settings in Firefox, everything works fine, but I need Firefox to automatically detect and use the proxy, the same way it works with Nekoray when I enable the “System Proxy” option.
Is there any way to force firefox to use system proxy setting?
