Re: Latest commit to linux-firmware pulls down all packages?

I attempted to merge two threads by request and promptly merged wrong threads making a mess.  Thank you Scimmia for catching that.
Unfortunately, I may have lost the original thread title. Node, as this is your thread, fix the thread title if you wish

Edit:  Amazingly, I cannot change the thread title as a moderator.   The original title was "pipewire 1:1.4.3-1 no audio in Proton games using XAudio2"

Confirmed, happened to me also with the title of a splitted thread.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Re: Latest commit to linux-firmware pulls down all packages?

Splitting the package might have been painful but it was clearly necessary.

What's also necessary is determining if your system and peripherals even require anything from any of the now-split firmware packages. Alas, in my case, I do not.

After 19 years running this Arch thingamobob as a safety net insurance policy, I've finally parted ways with the linux-firmware package for the first time ever as of today. I feel SO free!
