[SOLVED] deluge-gtk crashing with "illegal hardware instruction"

After an update of python-rencode to 1.0.8-1, deluge-gtk is not opening.

dmesg error code

traps: deluge-gtk[2074] trap invalid opcode ip:72c0a1a67a61 sp:7ffd6121e4c0 error:0 in _rencode.cpython-313-x86_64-linux-gnu.so[3a61,72c0a1a67000+14000]

uname -a

Linux Tree 6.15.2-arch1-1 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Tue, 10 Jun 2025 21:32:33 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Processor name

 Intel Core i5-8250u

What I have done

• Downgrading python-rencode

• Uninstalled and reinstalled deluge and deluge-gtk

• System is up-to-date

Update

Downloaded  python-rencode PKGBUILD file from Gitlab and built it on my machine and deluge-gtk is working. I also tried directly downloading and installing python-rencode from Arch Linux package site and it did not work.

Fixed in python-rencode-1.0.8-2.
