Todays downloads repeat again and again with pacman -Syu and always the same items...

That happened to me before with pygtk. pacman -Rd those packages and then pacman -S them again right after and it should be gone...

Indications are that the repeats have halted. Thanks for the advice......
The syntax error still remains for line 16......

I looked into this a little bit and I "think" I know what the syntax error is. Take a look at line 16 of /etc/pacman.d/current and see if it is missing the "#" at the beginning of the line. I removed mine and got the exact same syntax error. I don't know if that will fix the repitition problem or not, though. (if it still exists)
Hi. I'm a sig. What are you?

vredfreak;
Appreciate your confirm of the syntax error.
I no longer have the repeat problem with ...pacman -Syu.....
However, line 16 of my ....pacman.d/current is a listing of Server in Europe.
Please advise the item your line 16 refers to....I assume it has to do with a comment, not a server listing
My problem may be in Extra?

Probed ...pacman.d for community and extra and cleared the offending entries....
pacman -Syu now is cleared of the syntax error.
The suggestion that it was pacman.config was very misleading.
Many thanks for the clue to my difficulty.
