SOLVED: After update/linux-firmware: system stutters, DMCUB error

Hello

after the latest pacman -Syyu + manual intervention for linux-firmware my system stutters to the point that it's unusable (sorry for not formating the text, but this is my only machine and I barley can navigate in the current state).

In the journalctl there are multiple lines of
Jun 22 16:43:33 archlinux kernel: amdgpu 0000:08:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* dc_dmub_srv_log_diagnostic_data: DMCUB error - collecting diagnostic data
can be found so I tried some older suggestions to set amdgpu.dcdebugmask=0x10 or amdgpu.ppfeaturemask=0xfff73fff in grub, but nothing helped. Checked with cat /proc/cmdline if the properties are correctly applied and it looked fine.

Appreciate any suggest/help.

I had the same error. I could only fix it by downgrading the package linux-firmware-amdgpu to version 20250613.12fe085f-5 . it seems to affect rx 9000 series mostly.

Thank you for your help, can confirm, downgrading linux-firmware-amdgpu to version 20250613.12fe085f-5 works and removed the stutter from my system (using 9070 radeon gpu)
